The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Lagos state, Jimi Agbaje, has congratulated his rival in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Sanwo-Olu was on Sunday, March 10 declared winner of the Saturday, March 9 elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lagos, NAN reports.

Legit.ng gathers that Agbaje’s director of media and publicity, Felix Oboagwina, said in a statement that Agbaje called Sanwo-Olu on the phone on Sunday, after INEC announced the final result.
Wishing his APC rival well, Agbaje prayed that God would grant him the wisdom to steer the affairs of the state.
Sanwo-olu, speaking at the APC secretariat in Lagos shortly after being declared winner, also said he had received a call from Agbaje.
The governor-elect also took to his Twitter handle, @jidesanwoolu, to make the development public.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, congratulated the APC governorship candidate in the state, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for emerging victorious in the March 9 governorship election in the state.
Ambode, in a congratulatory message sent via Facebook on Sunday, March 10, also congratulated Sanwo-Olu’s running mate, Obafemi Hamzat, over the result of the election.
