21-year-old student diagnosed with sleeping beauty syndrome sleeps for as long as 3 weeks

Rhoda Rodriuez, a 21-year-old university student has been diagnosed with a rare yet unbelievable disease that sometimes causes her to sleep for three weeks straight. The beautiful lady recently opened up about the strange illness.

The lady who lives in Leicester, UK suffers from sleeping beauty syndrome better known as Kleine-Levin Syndrome which is a rare sleep disorder.

According to Daily Mail, in a day, Rhoda can stay in bed for 22 hours and wake from time to time while still in a haze to munch junk food and visit the toilet.

During her second year in university, Rhoda failed after she slept while sitting for her examinations.

According to the beauty, some people often confuse her condition for laziness, something that deeply hurts her.

“But I am determined to not let it have a big impact on my life. It is one part of me and not who I am. It is frustrating because I cannot help it,” she said.

According to Rhoda, she has no control whenever the episodes happen. When she was a kid, the lady said she missed out on most of her childhood because she could not hangout with her fellow children as much as she would want to.

“I feel a huge setback when it does happen. I miss out on so much. That is the hardest part of it. It is hard to explain to people where I have been. Because it is so rare a lot of people struggle to understand,” she explained.

However, doctors could not pinpoint what was causing her sleeping episodes till she was a grown woman.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
