Vote only Buhari in Lagos - APC faction to electorate

- Electorates in Lagos state have been asked to vote for candidates of their choice apart from President Buhari, APC presidential candidate

- According to the party factional chairman, Fouad Oki, taking Nigeria to the next level remains the best job for the team

- Oki urged the electorates to vote APC for the complete recovery of the country commonwealth

A faction of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos on Tuesday, February 5, kicked-off a door-to-door campaign for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo in the February 16 presidential election.

New telegraph reports that the party factional chairman, Fouad Oki, said apart from President Buhari, who is the party presidential candidate, they were free to vote for candidates of their choice.

Oki said: ''To take Nigeria to the next level as they remain the best team for the job. Nigeria has been in ruins for 16 years in the hands of PDP, which is seeking a return in this general election.

''Nigerians must say no to PDP’s devilish ambition by using their votes to send the PDP to dustbin of history and vote APC for a complete recovery of Nigeria, economically, socially.

''We are organising this campaign as an independent group that is complimenting the other initiatives of the Presidential Campaign Group which is moving across the states.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the second term bid of President Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo was backed by Nigerian students under the aegis of the Buhari National Students Group (BNSG).

The group gave the endorsement via its national coordinator, Comrade Anyebe Dominic, in Abuja, on Tuesday, August 14.

The BNSG said a second term for Buhari and Osinbajo would enable them consolidate on their achievements and ensure that Nigeria is devoid of corruption.

Dominic further stated that the Buhari administration had ensured prompt payment of entitlements of university workers; thus bringing about stability in the nation's tertiary institutions.

He pointed out that the policy had reduced the occurrence of strikes, ensuring that students graduate as at when due.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
