Unemployed man receives applause after returning missing money-laden wallet in Lagos

A Nigerian man is currently receiving applause online after his honest act towards a lady who lost her cash-filled wallet, went viral on the platform.

In an era where many people have resorted to robbery, fraud and other illegal means to make money in Nigeria, this Nigerian man has proven that honest people still exist. In a post shared by Instagram user, @cutiebidey, a man returned her lost wallet filled with money, despite being unemployed.

She wrote: "This man right here is my HERO. I can't believe we still have truthful people like this in Lagos. I lost my wallet on Saturday, since then I had been disturbed and praying to find it. In it I have 20pounds and some naira notes. This man came to my office and brought my wallet intact, nothing was missing, this man rejected what I gave him in return.

Please help me pray for him that he will never lack any good thing in his life, I asked few questions and he said he had been out of job for over a year, please is you have any job for him send me a message. Let's celebrate a HERO. He is an engineer, he used to work for a network provider before he was laid off. Pls tag all the celebrities, let's help this man.

The post which has since gone viral, received major reactions on social media as many people applauded the man for his honesty.

According to the post, he is an engineer who is currently out of work after he was laid off by a communications company he used to work for. Many peopled called on influential and well-meaning Nigerians to help him with a job.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
