"With the result, it’s not easy to say that, but there are some positives that we can look at from our players today,” he added.

Interestingly, in the second half of the encounter, Shkodran Mustafi joined Arsenal's growing injury list after he hobbled off.

Next weekend, the Gunners will battle relegation-haunted Huddersfield, but are already without Sokratis and Hector Bellerin.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported Manchester City thrashed Arsenal 3-1 at the Etihad stadium on Sunday, February 3, to return to second position on the Premier League log.

Sergio Aguero netted his first goal in the first minute of the game when Alex Iwobi made a mistake by passing the ball straight to Laporte deep on the left who then provided a dangerous cross for unmarked Aguero to head past Leno.

The Gunners restored parity in the 11th minute when Sead Kolasinac played a corner and Monreal flicked in into the six yard box before Laurent Koscienlny headed home.

Aguero gave Manchester City the lead again before the first half break when Englishman Raheem Sterling provided superb assist for him to score in the 44th minute.

He then grabbed his hat-trick in the 61st minute when Raheem Sterling again supplied a dangerous pass and Aguero appeared to have handled the ball, but the referee ignored

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
