Tension at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea players tell Sarri what he must do or risk being sacked

- Maurizio Sarri has been given ultimatum by Chelsea stars over Kante and Hudson-Odoi

- After their 6-0 defeat at Etihad Stadium, the players held a meeting to resolve their struggles in the league

- They came out with the resolution that the coach should return Kante back to his position

- The Chelsea stars also want Sarri to give Hudson-Odoi more playing time to avoid him being lured away from the club this summer

Chelsea stars have reportedly warned Maurizio Sarri to return N'golo Kante back to his holding position in the squad.

The Frenchman has been fielded in the attacking role since the arrival of the Italian boss last summer.

A decision that has led the Blues to struggling in their last three away Premier League matches in the last two weeks.

Their recent being the 6-0 hammering by Manchester City at Etihad Stadium over the weekend, which also pushed them down to 6th on the log with 50 points after 26 matches.

That was before their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal and another 4-0 thrashing by Bournemouth all away from the Stamford Bridge.

After Sunday's hammering, the club's senior players held an emergency meeting and SunSport reports that told their manager to give Callum Hudson-Odoi more playing time.

Spanish news outlet, AS also reported that the players are disturbed with Sarri-ball and want a simpler way of playing.

CaughtOffside reveals that the team want Sarri to alter his team selection in order to salvage what is left of the season.

They want Kante to drop back and help Jorginho who has been badly exposed trying to protect the back four.

The players believe with Hudson-Odoi restored into the starting line-up, he will provide services for on-loan striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Hudson-Odoi has been a major transfer target for Bayern Munich this term and was not included in Chelsea's last two Premier League games, despite impressing when he has be given game time.

The Times reports that after Monday’s crisis meeting, Sarri fringe players had a warm up match and they held the team including Willian and World Cup-winner Olivier Giroud.

It remains to be seen if Hudson-Odoi, or any of the youngsters get a game in the Europa League clash at Malmo on Thursday., February 14.

Legit.ng recalls that Chelsea stars were gathered at the club's training center to hold an emergency meeting reviewing their performance that led to the 6-0 mauling by Manchester City.

The defeat is the heaviest in the in history of the club in over 28 years as they also slipped sixth on the Premier League table.

Maurizio Sarri's men scored five goals and conceded twelve in their last four EPL matches having suffered 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth in their previous game.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
