Photo of ballot box with wrong spelling of 'house of representative' goes viral

In what appears to be one of the major highlights of the 2019 elections, a photo of a ballot box with the wrong spelling of 'house of representative' pasted on it has emerged online and has many internet users talking.

The photo which has gone viral sent a message to millions of Nigerians about the competence of some of the polling unit officers who were trusted to carry out elections in several polling units scattered around the nation.

The box which was was set aside for voters to cast their votes for their choice of house of representative candidates had 'house of resersatative' pasted on it. Many have seen the mistake as a comic relief but for many it is disappointing that such a mistake can be made especially at such a sensitive occasion as elections.

Many people have claimed that the ballot box was located in a polling unit in Ibadan but it is unknown which polling unit it came from. However, with many cases of ballot boxes being snatched and violence recorded in some polling areas, a misspell is easier to take in.
