Ooni of Ife and wife Olori Prophetess Naomi host Aje festival in style, see powerful photos

- Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan and his beautiful wife, Olori Prophetess Naomi, recently hosted the Aje festival in the ancient city of Ile-Ife in Osun state

- The celebration was attended by inhabitants of the state as well guest from several areas of Nigeria and beyond

- Photos from the ceremony have emerged the internet

On February 18, the ancient city of Ile-Ife in Osun state held its Aje (wealth, prosperity) festival which was hosted by Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and his gorgeous wife, Olori Prophetess Naomi.

The ceremony was an all white procession and the Ooni of Ife played his part in appeasing the Aje diety before the event commenced. It was gathered that Lagos-based businesswoman, Princess Toyin Kolade, served as chief host.

Hundreds of indigenes as well as tourists joined in the annual celebration and the photos from the special ceremony have been flooding the internet.

Doubtlessly, the Yoruba culture is a beautiful one filled with many rich heritages and customs that will make any indigene proud.

It was gathered that annual festival began at noon with the arrival of Ife chief priests who paid obeisance to the king, prayed for the town and sprinkled salt and other substances used to celebrate the Aje diety around the royal grounds.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
