Only God can take, give power - Dele Momodu urges Atiku to concede defeat

- Dele Momodu, the owner of Ovation magazine, has asked the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, to concede defeat

- Momodu advised the PDP candidate to call President Muhammadu Buhari and congratulate him

- The Ovation magazine owner also told Aiku to note that it is only God who gives or takes power

As results of the general elections keep pouring in from the international conference centre in Abuja, Dele Momodu has called on Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to accept defeat.

Legit.ng gathered last night, Monday, February 26, that 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have so far been announced as Atiku was 286,105 behind.

Momodu made the call on his twitter page on Tuesday, February 26, asking the PDP presidential candidate not to waste any time in congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari on his re-election.

He said: "My dear WAZIRIN, as a believer, you are aware that only God can give or take power. You've written your name in gold. Do not wait a minute longer. Please, pick that phone and call President Muhammadu Buhari. You have much more to gain, sir... Pass on the burden!"

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the APC on Monday, February 25, said it had rejected the presidential election result in Akwa Ibom, declared by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the collation centre in Uyo.

It was gathered that in the result announced by collation officers for the election, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s candidate, Atiku Abubakar, won in 28 local government area out of 31 in the state.

Legit.ng also previously reported that the Senate leader, Ali Ndume of the ruling party, emerged winner of the Southern Borno senatorial constituency election.

Ndume was declared winner on Sunday, February 24, in Biu by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) having scored the highest votes cast in the Saturday’ February 23 election.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
