England international Phil Jones has now explained how things have changed in the last few weeks under Solskjaer who is currently United boss on interim capacity.

"Everyone’s got to take us seriously now.

"We might have been a bit of a laughing stock at the beginning of the season, but we’re certainly not now.

''We’ve proven that in the last ten or twelve games. We’re improving, we’re still getting better,'' Jones explained according to the news by Manchester Evening.

The 26-year-old also responded to Manchester United's win against Fulham which sent the Red Devils to fourth position on the Premier League standings.

"It was tough for everyone involved. The club, the supporters, everyone. But it’s about becoming stronger and seeing that through.

''I’ve said it in the past, we’ve not achieved anything yet, we’re under no illusions but we’re heading in the right direction,'' he said.

Phil Jones and his teammates are now planning for their next game which will be in the Champions League against French club Paris-Saint-Germain.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Premier League giants Manchester United appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjær as their new manager until the end of the ongoing 2018/19 Premier League season.

The 45-year-old Norwegian football manager replaces former manager Jose Mourinho who was thrown out of the club because of poor results.

He was joined by Mike Phelan as first-team coach, together with Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna this season at Old Trafford.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
