Liverpool, Bayern Munich set to titanic Champions League clash at Anfield

- Liverpool vs Bayern Munich will square off at Anfield in a Champions League last 16 game

- Both sides have respective injury worries but the match is expected to be a cracker

- Lewandowski will be looking to add to his goal-tally as Salah will looking to continue his scoring form

Liverpool vs Bayern Munich will take center stage at Anfield which has been regarded as one of the most anticipated round of 16 Champions League clash.

The Reds secured passage into the knockout phase following a decisive 1-0 over Napoli which put them behind Group C leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

The Bavarians enjoyed an easy ride going into the last 16 after topping the group that comprises Ajax, Benfica and AEK Athens.

A late fitness test will be conducted for Liverpool pair Dejan Lovren and Xherdan Shaqiri before Jurgen Klopp makes his final decision on them.

Georginio Wijnaldum is expected to train alongside his teammates after overcoming illness in the past week.

Van Dijk is facing suspension while Joe Gomez is still recovering from a leg injury and Fabinho will fill in the center-back position.

On the other hand, Bayern captain Manuel Neuer will return after missing games against Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke but Corentin Tolisso and Arjen Robben are still nursing their respective injuries.

Thomas Mueller has already been ruled out of both legs because of his two-match ban that came from a red card in their final game against Ajax.

Kingsley Conman who was outstanding in the win away to Augsburg is doubtful after limping off during the closing stages of the match.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
