Legit.ng gathers that Abdullahi said GAFDAN had an emergency meeting to review the recent killings in the area where over hundred Fulani people were allegedly killed in an unprovoked attack by the Adara communities in Iri ,Maro villages on Monday, February 11 .

According to him, the state government and security agencies have confirmed the killing of 66 Fulani persons in the attack.

He lamented that while people within and outside the area were showing their sympathy and support to the efforts by well meaning Nigerians to resolve the crisis amicably, some members of the immediate community “are shamelessly denying it.”

“We call on our people not to take laws into their own hands but to allow government and security agencies deal with the issues.

“We call on the government and the security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators of these crimes against humanity are apprehended and brought to book.

“We commend the governor of Kaduna state, the security agencies for visiting the areas to see for themselves the level of destruction of human lives and property perpetuated by these criminals," he said.

The secretary said the association would continue to work with all stakeholders and peace loving people to ensure that the people of the area reconciled with one another.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
