How we will stop Atiku from winning in southeast - Pro-Buhari group

- A pro-Muhammadu Buhari group said it will stop Atiku from winning in the southeast

- The coordinator of the group, Frank Ezike, said he will mobilise bodies in the southeast to go against the endorsement of Atiku by Ohanaeze Ndigbo

- Ezike said President Buhari will clinch the majority of the southeast votes

Frank Ezike, the national coordinator of a pro-Muhammadu Buhari group, on Wednesday, February 6, reportedly vowed to stop the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, from recording a victory in the southeast in the February 16 election.

According to The Punch newspapers, the coordinator of the group tagged “I Believe in President Muhammadu Buhari 2019” revealed how he would work against Atiku’s victory in the zone.

The newspaper reports that Ezike said he would move to counter Atiku’s endorsement by the Igbo apex socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

He added that he would mobilise all the major bodies in the southeast to go against the endorsement, adding that such endorsement was dangerous to the political aspirations of the region.

He said President Buhari will clinch the majority of the southeast votes.

His words: “We will block Atiku in the southeast, come February 16. The purported electoral support given to former vice president Atiku Abubakar by the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, holds no water as the good people of the southeast are not ready to gamble with their votes at a time they are supposed to carefully define their political interests by way of secured electoral investments for the future.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo, in their calculations, may have their reasons for the said electoral endorsement and all the members of the youth population, across the five states of the southeast and significant other eligible voters, are set to vote for PMB 100%.”
