- According to the former EFCC boss, about 67,000 youths are working through the organisation for the re-election of the president
The director of field operations of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, said the party has reached out to over 20 million prospective electorate through telephone conversation to canvass voters for the president.
Speaking on Monday, February 11, in Abuja at the secretariat of the field and operation directorate, the former presidential candidate disclosed that the organisation has embarked on house-house campaign, sensitising the electorate on the need to re-elect President Buhari, Leadership reports.
Ribadu, who said those working under the organisation are volunteers, also added that the organisation was divided into three sub-committees namely: Telephone call team, door-to-door canvassers and social media team.
The former EFCC chairman said the division was necessary to enable the directorate reach out to as many as possible Nigerians ahead of the election.
He said: ''Everybody working here is working as a volunteer. We don’t have money but we are doing the job given to the Directorate. We have the Christian, Muslim and ethnic organizations working with us to campaign to Nigerians."

On the number of people involved in the project, the Adamawa APC chieftain said not less than 67,0000 youths are working under the organisation for the president.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Ribadu had clarified the reported donation of 10 cars and campaign office he made to President Buhari ahead of 2019.
In a Twitter update on January 1, Ribadu explained that he only converted his governorship campaign machinery, which included 10 vehicles and an office, to boost the president's ambition.
