Family members of Emiliano Sala who recently died in a plane crash broke down into tears when the body of the late football star arrived Argentina for funeral.

Emiliano Sala's body was flown home to Argentina for the service which is to be held at the club he played for as a child on Saturday, February 16.

Mirta Taffarel, Sala's aunt, wept as the van carrying the coffin containing her nephew's remains arrived.

A public vigil expected to last for several hours will be held in the gymnasium of Sala's boyhood club San Martin de Progreso where he played until he was 15.

Emiliano Sala was traveling from Nantes to meet his former teammates at Cardiff City before the plane he boarded crashed into the English channel.

It took the authorities in charge two weeks for them to recover the wreckage before Emiliano Sala's lifeless body was found.

But that of the pilot who was with Emiliano Sala in the plane has not been found and funds have been raised for police to continue their search.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Emiliano Sala died of head injuries he sustained after the plane crashed into the sea alongside Brit pilot David Ibbotson near Alderney on January 21.

According to the report, an inquest commenced proceeding into Sala’s death before adjourning in Dorset, but they were informed that a post-mortem confirmed that the Cardiff City star died from "head and trunk" related injuries.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
