Durotoye, others stranded at Osinbajo's polling unit as card readers malfunction after VP casts vote

There was serious drama at Vice President Yemi Osinbajo's polling unit on Saturday, February 23 as minutes after the VP voted, the card readers deployed to the unit malfunctioned, preventing other individuals, including ANN presidential candidate, Fela Durotoye, from voting.

Legit.ng journalist, Abisola Alawode, reports that after some minutes and frantic phone calls from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials on ground, Durotoye and other voters were finally able to cast their votes.
Out of 5 machines, just one was able to work as at the time of writing this report.

In a similar development, Legit.ng previously reported that Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi was unable to cast his vote at Agassa Okene-eba Ahachi ward unit 011, following some technical faults in the available card reader.
As INEC officials were trying to fix the problem, the governor reportedly left the queue in disappointment and returned to his car.
Newsmen also gathered that only one card reader was available at the polling unit.
