Corps member who was brave enough to rescue his colleague during election receives monetary donations from Nigerians (photos)

Over the weekend, Nigerians came out to decide on the new president that would lead the country for the next four years.

On Saturday, February 23, during the election, it was reported that the polling units in some parts of the country were a bit violent, due to some people who were trying to forcefully make their way.

As a result, some corps members who were working as ad-hoc staff for the election, were caught in the crossfire.

A young man who was brave enough to save a friend during a violent scene at a polling unit has received monetary donations from many Nigerians. The young man who is a corps member had saved his colleague while everyone was running for their lives.

The man identified as Adaji Omonu Muhammed was celebrated on social media for being very brave. Nigerians took to Twitter to laud his efforts and promised to help him financially.

It all began when a man identified as Enebechi took to his Twitter to announce that he would like to give the man money. After he did so, other Nigerians also noted that they would like to give money to the young man also.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that a female corps member was allegedly caught destroying ballot papers in the bush on election day. The lady was seen hiding in the bushes destroying the ballot papers.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
