Adams Oshiomole, APC chieftains hold secret meeting with Buhari in Abuja

- APC members and candidates of the House of Representatives were hosted to a presidential dinner in Abuja by President Buhari

- The presidential dinner was also attended by the national chairman of the party and the secretary to the government of the federation

- The meeting was used as an avenue to discuss political matters concerning the country and issues on the next elections

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, February 4, hosted All Progressives Congress (APC) members of the House of Representatives and candidates to a presidential dinner at the state House, Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that President Buhari and his guests later went into a closed doors meeting.

The dinner was attended by national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiohmole and secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha.

Others in attendance were the principal officers of the house including deputy speaker, Yusuf Lasun; the majority leader of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, as well as other APC members.

NAN reliably gathered that the meeting would discuss political matters including the forthcoming general elections.

The outcome of the closed door meeting was still being awaited as at the time of filing this report.

The president had on Monday, January 28, hosted APC senators and candidates to similar dinner at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Zamfara state, Alhaji Sani Shinkafi, reportedly endorsed Buhari, the APC candidate, ahead of the February 16 presidential election.

Sani made his decision known in Bungudu, the headquarters of Bungudu local government area of the state, while on his campaign.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
