19 suspected yahoo boys get arrested in Ibadan, EFCC confiscated exotic cars, charms and ladies' pants (photos)

- 19 people suspected to internet fraudsters have been arrested in Ibadan, Oyo state

- The suspected were arrested with exotic cars, fetish items and ladies' underwear in their possession

- It was gathered that the suspects were apprehended after the officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission launched a raid

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the arrest of nineteen suspects in Ibadan, Oyo state. The commission disclosed the nineteen arrested are suspected of committing internet fraud.

EFCC had taken to Facebook to reveal photos of the things that were confiscated alongside photos of the culprits.

It was revealed that the arrest had taken place after a sting operation was led by the zonal head, Friday Ebelo. The nineteen suspects consist of people between the age of 21-35 years old.

According to EFCC, the commission had gotten wind of the activities of the yahoo boys who were arrested in their hideout after tips, alleging that the suspects had engaged in fraudulent activities ranging from obtaining money by false pretenses through sending of scam emails to unsuspecting victims.

Some of the arrested suspects were also accused of engaged in romance scam on several dating sites.

EFCC operatives reportedly confiscated four different models and brands of exotic cars, five laptops, 20 telephones, 10 iPhones and a small bag containing items suspected to be fetish objects.

They were also caught with several documents, including international passports, and ATM cards were recovered from them.

Others arrested in another location, had sim cards, one exotic car, laptops, telephones and female underwear.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
