You are a guiding light - Chimamanda Adichie showers Wole Soyinka with encomium (photo)

World-class Nigerian author, Chimamanda Adichie recently had a star-struck moment recently when she met Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka. The two living legends posed in a photo which she shared on her social media page.

The 41-year-old Nigerian novelist was all smiles as posed with the legendary author. Adichie also showered Soyinka with encomium, reflecting her deep admiration for the 84-year-old playwright. In her post, she described him as a guiding light and showed appreciation for his essence.

Many social media users have likened the photo to a special one which shows that great things can emerge from Nigeria.

Interestingly, Chimamanda recently bagged a Mary McCarthy award. A prestigious award only won before now by notable foreign authors such as Margaret Atwood (the author of The Handmaid’s Tale), Zadie Smith, Mona Simpson, and Susan Sontag.

Meanwhile, Nigerian author and feminist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has revealed that she wears Nigerian designer. The feminist noted that she mostly wears Nigerian brands to support talents - She expressed that she uses fashion to make political statements.
