Willian scores brace as Higuain fires blank in Chelsea's 4th round FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday

Chelsea vs Sheffield Wednesday ended in a 3-0 scoreline in favour of the Blues as they progressed into the fifth round of the FA Cup.

All fans stormed Stamford Bridge to finally see their new signing Gonzalo Higuain and was given a rousing welcome by the club's faithfuls.

The Argentine striker was given breathing space as he first touch on the ball was welcomed with a crunchy tackle from a Sheffield defender in the 11th minute.

However, the deadlock was finally broken as the referee pointed to the spot as Cesar Azpilicueta was brought down in the box.

Willian stepped up to take and converted the resulting spot-kick to put the Blues ahead by 1-0 in the 26th minute.

Chelsea looked like the more likely team to score in the second half as a brilliant cross from Willian eluded Alonso and Higuain who the fans were waiting to find the back of the net but to no avail.

But in the 64th minute, Bayern Munich target Callum Hudson-Ndoi got his name on the scoresheet as he finished off a beautiful from Andreas Christensen with a piece of brilliance to make it 2-0.

Higuian's low key debut was put to an end as he was substituted for Olivier Giroud in the 82nd minute, but the fans would expect more for the 31-year-old during their midweek game away to Bournemouth.

But a minute later, Willian completed his brace following a neat one-two with Giroud as he side-foots the ball into the left-hand corner to make it 3-0.

The defending champions were comfortable winners on the night as they progress to the next stage of the competition.
