The report earlier quoted Udeze as supporting Atiku Abubakar before his sudden change of endorsement.

The national chairman promised that AA would win the election in Imo state while supporting President Buhari for the presidential election.

Udeze, who presented the party’s flag to Nasiru Buhari, the representative of the president, declared: “We are ready to take over Imo state and also give President Buhari a landslide victory.

“We adopted President Buhari because he is a trustworthy leader who means well for the country.”

Also speaking at the flag-off, Nwosu said: “I am sure of victory because of the support of the masses and I will be youngest governor in Nigeria by May 29.

“I am running with those who are old enough to be my father but my appeal to them is to leave the stage for the youths and take their deserved rest, while we harness the potentials of our youths to make our state great.”

Legit.ng earlier reported that the Action Alliance, on Monday, January 14, affirmed its support for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the forthcoming presidential election.

The report had quoted Udeze as stating this at a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

“We are for Atiku/Obi leadership and we are glad to work with all believers of true federalism and efficient administration of governance at all levels to accomplish this as we approach the forthcoming elections.
