Soundcity says Davido’s O2 Arena concert was nearly sold out

Following the widely talked about O2 Arena concert of Nigerian superstar, Davido, controversies have not stopped to trail the claims that the large capacity event center was completely sold out.

Social media had been set abuzz with the news of the singer’s successful concert in London. Several video clips surfaced on the internet showing the singer giving an eclectic performance to thousands of his fans.

However, among the videos that surfaced online, some of them portrayed the music arena looking scantily occupied. Fans of the singer had taken his side on social media with many saying the videos showing a scanty hall was recorded before people had showed up for the event.

In a recent development, popular music broadcasting station Sound City, recently took to their Twitter page with a post in which they had said the singer almost sold out the O2.

In the same post, the station also revealed that the Assurance crooner was planning to replicate the success of his concert, as he planned to take the show to America.

An international publishing house, The Guardian, had also published a review of the music concert in which they had said the singer nearly sold out the popular music arena.

See excerpts from the review below:

"Considering the anticipation attached to this gig, which has been talked up as a significant event for Davido – he’s nearly sold out the O2, a considerable leap toward the mainstream – and for Afrobeats itself, it’s poor form for the Lagos-based singer to turn up 65 minutes late."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously gathered a report about the supremacy battle between the fan base of Wizkid and Davido. Both fans had taken to social media to declare who heir preferred musical act as the boss.
