Simi shuts down fan who tried to compare her with fellow singer Teni

The Nigerian entertainment industry is a very big and competitive one. It is not strange for stars that used to be at the top to be usurped by relatively new people in the industry.

It has also become a trend on social media for fans to pit entertainers against each other and some of them are no longer finding it amusing.

A Twitter user, identified as Micheal Ogundero (@micheal__og), took to his handle to compare two of Nigeria’s top female musicians, Simi and Teni. He asked who fans preferred between the two stars. See his tweet below:

In an unexpected turn of events, one of the singers mentioned, Simi, made sure to reply the tweet. She explained that fans need to stop comparisons between artistes because they can listen to them both at the same time. She also explained that it doesn’t create healthy competition.

As expected, some other Twitter users reacted to her comment. Some of them agreed with her while others felt there is nothing wrong with liking one singer better than the other. See some reactions below:

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
