Simi shuts down fan who tried to compare her with fellow singer Teni

The Nigerian entertainment industry is a very big and competitive one. It is not strange for stars that used to be at the top to be usurped by relatively new people in the industry.

It has also become a trend on social media for fans to pit entertainers against each other and some of them are no longer finding it amusing.

A Twitter user, identified as Micheal Ogundero (@micheal__og), took to his handle to compare two of Nigeria’s top female musicians, Simi and Teni. He asked who fans preferred between the two stars. See his tweet below:

In an unexpected turn of events, one of the singers mentioned, Simi, made sure to reply the tweet. She explained that fans need to stop comparisons between artistes because they can listen to them both at the same time. She also explained that it doesn’t create healthy competition.

As expected, some other Twitter users reacted to her comment. Some of them agreed with her while others felt there is nothing wrong with liking one singer better than the other. See some reactions below:

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
