Real Madrid dealt another injury blow as 2 star players set for spell on the sidelines

- Karim Benzema have been ruled out for up to three weeks

- Jesus Vallejo also suffered a hamstring problem in training

- Real Madrid now have eight players on the sidelines this term

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is expected to be out for up to three weeks after suffering a fractured finger in Los Blancos' win at Real Betis.

Defender Jesus Vallejo was also in tears in Monday's training following a hamstring injury.

Benzema had a nasty fall during the 2-1 victory at the Seville based club and did npot return to play the second 45 minutes.

"He has been diagnosed with a fracture in the phalanx of the fifth finger in the right hand," said Madrid in a statement. "The player's situation will continue to be monitored."

On the other hand, Vallejo has only managed to play twice for Madrid this season following series of physical problems, with this his fourth injury.

Benzema and Vallejo add to Real's injury list of players including Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos, Thibaut Courtois, Marcos Llorente, Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz on the sidelines.

Santiago Solari's side who moved to La Liga's top-four and travel to play Leganes on Wednesday, January 16, in the Copa del Rey round of 16 second leg tie.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
