PDP's greatest blunder is fielding Atiku as its presidential candidate - APC reps candidate

- The candidate of the APC for Ovia federal constituency election, Dennis Idahosa, says PDP's greatest blunder is fielding Atiku Abubakar as its presidential candidate for the 2019 elections

- Idahosa says this has given President Muhammadu Buhari the edge to coast home to victory in the forthcoming elections

- According to Idahosa, Buhari would have had a little bit of chance if PDP had fielded a candidate with integrity

The candidacy of former vice president Atiku Abubakar as the presidential flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been described as the greatest blunder of the opposition party by a House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Dennis Idahosa.

Idahosa, who is contesting for the Ovia federal constituency in Edo state, stated this while commenting on the chances of President Buhari against the PDP presidential candidate, Punch reports.

Legit.ng gathers that Idahosa said the opposition party made a mistake by giving its presidential ticket to the former vice president.

He said: “What is giving him (Buhari) the edge more than others is that the PDP made a blunder by giving their ticket to somebody who has so much confidence in money, instead of integrity and morality.

“Atiku Abubakar is someone who had served the country as a Vice President and we all saw the high level of corruption and injustice that characterised the administration during their tenure and we cannot again afford and entrust the sensitive position of President of the country into the hands of such person.

“I believe if it was somebody else that has credibility and integrity, PDP would have had a little bit of chance. But President Muhammadu Buhari is a man of integrity, a man that has fought insecurity in the country and willing to bring Nigeria to the next level.

“Every human being has his or her faults, no one is perfect. I believe Nigeria is in safe hands with Buhari and we will get to the next level with Buhari."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Nigerians were urged to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in the forthcoming 2019 general election by the speaker of the Nasarawa state House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe -Abdullahi.

The speaker said Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not an alternative to the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming elections, adding that it is the ruling party that can meet the long yearning of Nigerians.

Balarabe-Abdullahi made this statement when he was briefing newsmen about his tour to the six electoral wards in his constituency.
