Nigerians react to Burna Boy calling them 'backward unprogressive fools'

All hell has broken loose on social media following Singer Burna boy's most recent statement where he boldly proclaimed that Nigeria is home to the largest group of 'Backward unprogressive fools'.

It all started when the Gbona crooner was selected alongside Mr Eazi to perform at the Coachella show set to hold in April 2019. Rather than be proud as one of the only two Africna artistes selected to perform, Burn Boy complained that his name was written is small print as opposed to bold fonts like major headliners of the show.

Many Nigerians came for him saying he was being unnecessarily rude and proud and should pipe down as being featured in Coachella is enough recognition.

Rather than celebrate, Burna Boy, took to Instagram to call out the organisers of the event which led to him trending on several social media platform on January 3. Some Nigerians believe that his dramatic reaction was an attempt to gain the attention of people who will be attending the event so they can look out for his performance.

However, even though it seemed like he was doing all that for publicity stunt, the singer seemed to have broken the camel's back with his most recent statement where he called Nigerians 'back unprogressive fools'

In a now deleted post shared on Friday, January 4, Burna Boy wrote, ”Don’t worry, I know for a fact that my own country, NIGERIA is home to the largest number of backward Unprogressive FOOLS.

I will still fight for them because they are not mentally advanced enough to fight for themselves. They will Forever have my Genuine undying LOVE.

To the few proud Young AFRICAN Intellectuals who will not conform to whatever bullshit they are given. you are the Only Hope of AFRICA. God bless you all.”

His statement got many Nigerians firing at him and many regretting that they bought his really expensive ticket to his recently concluded concert.

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project.
