Liverpool star recarded by referee turns out to be his primary school teacher

- James Milner was shown a red card in Liverpool's 4-3 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield

- The center-referee Jon Moss happened to have taught the ex-England star at primary level

- Liverpool maintained their four-point lead at the the top of the Premier League table this term

Liverpool vice-captain James Milner was given his marching orders in the Reds thrilling 4-3 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield.

The ex-England international was shown two yellow cards and was sent off by referee Jon Moss following a crunch tackle on Wilfried Zaha.

And it has emerged that the referee and player's relationship have gone a long way following a post on Twitter.

A picture of Moss and Milner appeared on social media with the Premier League center-referee appearing to coach a youth side captained by the former Manchester City star.

It is claimed Moss was a teacher Westbrook in Horsforth, the same primary school Milner attended when he was a child.

However, the Premier League referee had no mercy for his former student after fouling Zaha in the 89th minute of the match.

Milner's red card came at the time Roy Hodgson's side piling up the pressure on the Merseyside club as at when the scores was 3-2.

However Sadio Mane scored what seemed to be the last goal in the game but Max Meyer's netted for the visitors again in time added on.

Th victory kept Liverpool's four-point lead at the top of the Premier League intact with Manchester City closing in on the leaders after their 3-0 win at Huddersfield.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Liverpool defeated Crystal Palace 4-3 in tough Premier League fixture at Anfield.

Andros Townsend put Palace in the lead in the first half but Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino scored a goal each in the opening stages of the second half.

Jaes Tomkins 65th minute header made it 2-2 hut a terrible mistake by Julian Speroni gave Salah his second goal of the match to make it 3-2.

Sadio Mane struck in the 90 minute to make it 4-2 and Max Meyer ended the thrilling contest with an injury time goal as the match finished 4-3 in favour of Liverpool.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
