Bayern Munich target Callum Hudson-Odoi has been urged to exploit his chances amid interest from the Bundesliga outfit.

The 18-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to join the Bavarians and Dutch legend Arjen Robben told him to exploit the chances.

According to reports coming out from the Stamford Bridge, Hudson-Odoi has failed to pen a new deal with the club as his current deal expires in 2020.

Goal.com reveals that the attacker could follow the footsteps of Jadon Sancho, who dumped Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund to become one of the most productive players in the league at age 18.

Bayern are currently six points behind league leaders Dortmund on the log and they are hoping to turn the situation around.

Meanwhile, the Bundesliga side have made another bid worth £35 million ($45m) for the 18-year-old winger after their first three were rejected by the club.

And Robben, whose contract with the club expires at the end of this season believes the youngster should take his chances.

He is one of the best (young players) in Europe,” Robben told beIN Sports. “You are better off getting your chance and if you get that chance then you have to take it.

For young players, it’s always the same. First, you have to take the big step to achieve it. Become a professional football player at the highest level, get into the first team, get your place.

Then, second, which can be more important, what’s sometimes missing is that you have to stay there. Staying there is often more difficult than actually becoming a footballer in the first place.

You have to to prove it, game after game, season after season and don’t be happy. "Don’t just be happy when you achieve something little or small.

The FA Cup current holders are reportedly having hard times in keeping the teenage forward, with manager Maurizio Sarri saying he thinks it would be best for the teen to remain at Chelsea.

In addition, Goal can confirm the Blues will report Bayern to FIFA if they find evidence the Bundesliga champions made an illegal approach to Hudson-Odoi.

An illegal approach would constitute contacting the player, family or their representatives without the permission of the team that holds their registration.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Bayern Munich have approached Chelsea for the second time in a bid sign Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The 18-year-old forward was promoted to the Blues senior team in 2017 under former boss Antonio Conte but has only made three topflight appearances for the club since then.

He has made just one appearances in the English topflight this campaign and it was in his side's 2-1 win over Watford at the Vicarage Road on Boxing Day.

The Transitional Phase of African Poetry

The Transitional Phase The second phase, which we have chosen to call transitional, is represented by the poetry of writers like Abioseh Nicol, Gabriel Okara, Kwesi Brew, Dennis Brutus, Lenrie Peters and Joseph Kariuki. This is poetry which is written by people we normally refer to as modem and who may be thought of as belonging to the third phase. The characteristics of this poetry are its competent and articulate use of the received European language, its unforced grasp of Africa’s physical, cultural and socio-political environment and often its lyricism. To distinguish this type of poetry we have to refer back to the concept of appropriation we introduced earlier. At the simplest and basic level, the cultural mandate of possessing a people’s piece of the earth involves a mental and emotional homecoming within the physical environment. Poems like Brew’s ‘‘Dry season”, Okara’s “Call of the River Nun”, Nicol’s “The meaning of Africa” and Soyinka’s “Season”, to give a few examples,

The pioneering phase of African Poetry

The pioneering phase We have called the first phase that of the pioneers. But since the phrase “pioneer poets” has often been used of writers of English expression like Osadebay, Casely-Hayford and Dei-Anag, we should point out that our “pioneer phase” also includes Negritude poets of French expression. The poetry of this phase is that of writers in “exile” keenly aware of being colonials, whose identity was under siege. It is a poetry of protest against exploitation and racial discrimination, of agitation for political independence, of nostalgic evocation of Africa’s past and visions of her future. However, although these were themes common to poets of both English and French expression, the obvious differences between the Francophone poets and the Anglophone writers of the 1930s and 1940s have been generally noted. Because of the intensity with which they felt their physical exile from Africa, coupled with their exposure to the experimental contemporary modes of writing in F
