Breaking: Our website has been hacked by desperate people - APC raises alarm

The All Progressives Congress has alleged that its official website, apc.com.ng, has been hacked by what it termed desperate people with evil intentions.

Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the national publicity secretary of the party, raised an alarm over the alleged hacking in a press release on Saturday, January 12.

The party said the alleged hackers had posted unauthorised content posted on our pages.

“Our attention has just been drawn to the fact that the APC’s official website, apc.com.ng has been hacked with unauthorised content posted on our pages, the release read.

“I have instructed that the site be taken down. Steps are underway to clean it up, strengthen the security, and restore it as soon as possible.

“We won’t allow the desperate people to succeed in their evil plots.

When Legit.ng visited the website at the time of reporting this story, there was an inscription which stating: Our website is under maintenance.”

Meanwhile, the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will bring to an end the incessant killings arising from herdsmen/farmers clashes in the North, as well as poverty currently ravaging the country, says the national coordinator of the Non-Indigenes Association of Nigeria for Atiku/Obi Presidency, Lot Ninzom Jonathan.

Jonathan made the comment in Bayelsa state during the inauguration of the state chapter of the association on Friday, January 11, Daily Trust reports.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
