- According to the senator, President Buhari's projects in the state including the Zik's mausoleum will help the president receive massive votes
The senator representing Anambra south, Andy Ubah, has expressed optimism on President Muhammadu Buhari's victory in the February 16 election, promising to mobilise the people of the state for the re-election of the president.
Ubah, who is also the coordinator of President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Council, stated this during a courtesy visit to his ward, Uga ward one, in Aguata local government area of Anambra state.
Praising President Muhammadu Buhari over his achievements, the senator said the completion of the Zik's mausoleum by the president and other projects in the state are enough to garner him the support of the state come February.

He said: “There are a lot of things that the president is doing that the people do not know about, but what we are going to do is to take those good works to the rural people of Anambra and ensure that they assimilate this, and use it to see reasons why they should vote the president.
“There are projects like the Zik’s mausoleum that have been abandoned for several years, but now constructed by the Buhari administration, there is the second Niger bridge which is still on going and seriously too, and there is also the Enugu-Onitsha expressway.
“There are several more projects and our job is to tell the people of them and mobilise them to vote for our able president”
Ubah also warned the people of the state against voting for people with lack of political experience, adding that his lofty experience at the Senate will make the state great as he has all what it takes to become the Senate president.
He said: “You need to have people who are ranking senators from the zone who can be made the Senate president. I am vying for a seat in the senate for the third time, and that among other things qualify me to be a ranking senator, who would be qualified to be a Senate president.”
“To be a senate president, you have to be a ranking senator, and you have to have been in the senate for at least eight years and must have a number of bills you have sponsored. So Igbos must vote wisely in their choice of senators.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that as the 2019 general elections drew nearer, a former member of the House of Representatives, God'swill Eluemunoh, had said President Muhammadu Buhari would defeat ex-vice president Atiku Abubakar in the southeast.
The former lawmaker, on Friday, November 23, said there was no empirical evidence to show that President Buhari was unpopular in that region.
