After losing their first game in this season's Champions League campaign, the expectation of all Spurs' fans was for their players to impress them against Barcelona, but they disappointed.

It took Barcelona only 92 seconds to score their first goal through Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho who was superbly assisted by Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba.

Coutinho then provided the assist that gave Barcelona their second goal at the Wembley stadium in the 28th minute through Croatia international Ivan Rakitic.

Englishman Harry Kane pulled one goal back for Spurs in the 52nd minute after receiving an excellent pass from Eric Lamela.

Eric Lamela gave Tottenham fans some hope in the 66th minute when he scored the second goal thanks to a superb assist by Heung Son, but Barcelona held on to record an incredible 4-2 win as Messi scored his second goal at the death.
