Surprising! Miss Congo's wig catches fire the moment she wins Miss Africa in Calabar (photo, videos)

Fire is one of the many guests that come uninvited to any party or event. This inanimate matter has no respect for persons, places or even time. It is no wonder that this unappreciated visitor deemed it fit to attend and sour a resounding celebration in Calabar.

This event had everything to do with the Miss Africa 2018 beauty pageant which saw in attendance several participants from different parts of the continent. Many guests who were rooting for choice contestants also attended.

The fire did not come during any of the proceedings. It waited patiently until the final moment when the winner of the beauty pageant was meant to be announced. Actually, the winner was already spelt out - Dorcas Kasinde, Miss Congo.

After hearing that she had won the coveted prize, Dorcas stepped forward, happy and excited, while her fans jubilated. As she was set to wear the crown, fire struck and dotted on her wig. In that one instant, her artificial hair went up in flames.

At first, Dorcas had no idea that she , or rather, her hair was on fire. She kept waving on and celebrating her win. It was the crowd and organisers that alerted her to the arising danger. Some people offstage climbed on to help her and others douse the fire.

With many hands on her wig, the fire was finally doused and everything returned to normalcy. Miss Congo went on to be Miss Africa, wear a crown and get the prize money.

He lamented about the embarrassing sight particularly because he had wanted the beautiful lady to win. See his full post below:

Former Maritime Agency Boss, Buba Galadima, Accuses AMCON Of Witch-hunt After Property Takeover

A former Director-General of the Nigeria Maritime Agency, Buba Galadima, has accused the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria of witch-hunt after the agency took possession of his business and assets on Tuesday in Abuja. Galadima, an ardent critic of President Muhammadu Buhari, claimed that he did not borrow money or have unpaid debt with Unity Bank, which lodged a complaint against him and occasioned AMCON’s move on Tuesday. The properties taken over include House No. 15, Addis Ababa Crescent, Wuse Zone 4, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and House No. 4, Bangui Street, Wuse 2, also in Abuja.  Reacting to the situation, Galadima said, “This is an attempt to disgrace and break me down. This is injustice and an attempt to humiliate me. "But I am unbreakable and they can never silence me. They sacked me and over 50 people that sleep in the apartment. "We don’t know where to go.
