Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has debunked claims Eden Hazard's injury was a serious not one during the Blues 2-1 win at Brighton.

Hazard, who scored on goal and assisted another, limped off in the 83rd minute at the Amex Stadium and was replaced by Olivier Giroud.

He has been sidelined by back and ankle injuries this term but Sarri says the latest problem is minor.

“It was only a knock,” Sarri said in his post-match press conference. “It shouldn’t be a big problem.”

Hazard set up Pedro for Chelsea's first in the 17th minute before doubling the advantage in the 33rd but Solly March's second half strike was not enough for Seagulls as it ended 2-1 to Chelsea.

But despite getting maximum points away at the Annex Stadium, Sarri was not satisfied with his team's performance.

“We conceded a goal when we were in full control.

“In my mind it was clear in that moment that we had to suffer in the box, we are not a physical team.

“I tried with the substitutions to have more of a physical presence.”

The 59-year-old was then asked if complacency contributed to his side's lack of display after the first half and he responded: “When we have the feeling to be in control of the match it is dangerous for ourselves.

“The first situation in our box in 30 minutes, I think we were a bit unlucky.
