Ronaldo admits he is not missing Messi, sends big message to the Barcelona star

- Cristiano Ronaldo has made it clear that he is not missing Messi and wants him to come to the Italian Serie A

- Before the Portuguese left Real Madrid, he battled for supremacy in Spain for nine years with the Argentine superstar

- Messi has never played for any other club since he began his career, and Ronaldo has challenged him

Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo has explained that he will love the rivalry between him and Barcelona star Lionel Messi to continue in the Italian Serie A.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi were rivals for nine years in the Spanish La Liga before the former Manchester United star left for a mega move to Juventus.

And while explaining that he is not missing Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo stressed that he wants the Argentine to join him in Italy.

When asked if he is missing Lionel Messi, Ronaldo said: “No, maybe he misses me!

“I played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal, in the national team, while he is still in Spain. Maybe he needs me more.

“For me, life is a challenge, I like it and I like to make people happy.

“I would like him to come to Italy one day. Like me, accept the challenge.

“However, if he is happy there, I respect him.

“He is a fantastic player, a good guy but I do not miss anything here. This is my new life and I'm happy,'' the 33-year-old told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Ronaldo and Messi have been impressive this season for their clubs who are currently topping the Italian Serie A and Spanish La Liga standings respectively.

Since the year 2008, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have the Ballon D'Or award five times each, but Real Madrid star Luka Modric ended their reigns this year by winning the award in Paris.

Buhari’s Legacy Of Recessions By Fredrick Nwabufo

Fredrick Nwabufo ‘Why always Buhari?’ As it was in 1984 under General Buhari, so it is in 2016 and 2020 under President Buhari? Is it by the unfortunate hands of kismet that recession hits Nigeria every time Buhari takes charge of the country’s affairs? If the recession of the 80s under Buhari was a conspiracy by economic and political factors, to what do we attribute that of his first coming as a civilian President — and now in his second coming? Why does pestilence scourge the land, hunger ravage the population and lives lost malevolently when Buhari presides over the country? Why always Buhari? Buhari’s undoing is his wonted predilection for hierarchising ethnicity, religion and loyalty above competence. Since 1999, no President has obtrusively shown a more nepotistic aspect than Buhari. It is unarguable that the President arrays the most competence-challenged cabinet ever in the chronicle of governance in Nigeria. Yes, a recession cabinet. Fredrick Nwabufo Here is a cabin...
