PDP receives defectors from APC, ADP in Niger

- Defectors from All Progressives Congress (APC) have joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger state

- The decampees from the ruling party was led by Kudu Kasim with over 1,000 members

- On their part, ADP decampees was led by Yahaya Designer with other 500 members

Nigeria's ruling All Progressives Party (APC) has suffered a major blow in Niger state as over 1,000 members of the party have joined The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Peoples Democratic Party also received defectors from Advance Democratic Party (ADP) from Niger South (Zone A) senatorial district of the state. Apart from the 1,000 that decamped from the APC, 500 members of ADP also joined the PDP.

The decampees from APC was led by Kudu Kasim while that of ADP was led by Yahaya Designer. 300 youths also joined the PDP, Channels TV reports.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that following alleged anti-party activities, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is determined to query Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state and Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state.

According to reports, the decision was part of resolutions reached at the National Working Committee(NWC) meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday, December 18, where the state, local government and ward executives committees in the two states were dissolved.
