Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo emphasised that his roles as the nation's number two citizen are outlined in the constitution and that he is not a spare tyre to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Osinbajo made the comment on Friday, December 14, during the vice-presidential debate organised by the Nigerian Elections Debate Group (NEDG) and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON).

The vice president stated that Nigeria's constitution differs from that of other countries, in that it specifies the role of the vice president.
