Nigerian pastor admits to preaching the gospel wrongly in the past in the name of collecting offering

- A Nigerian pastor identified as Ugoeze Elendu Chukwuebuka on Facebook has sparked controversy on social media with his statement about the gospel

- Ugoeze shared an old photo of himself dramatically preaching and admitted he was wrong for being so theatrical with the aim of getting congregation to sow seeds

- He stated that the gospel is free and it shouldn't be watered down to fit worthless desire

A Nigerian pastor has released a powerful statement on the how the gospel should be presented to people. Identified as Ugoeze Elendu Chukwuebuka on Facebook, he shared an old photo of him dramatically preaching the gospel and admitted to doing so with the aim of getting the congregation to sow seeds. He revealed that he was 'foolish' and 'wrong' as the gospel is free.

His stance is clearly a contrast to the practice of many pastors scattered across the country. Elendu opined that many have to get theatrical with the preaching because adding drama will get the congregation to pay tithes and offerings.

It is the same tithe and offering famous media personality Daddy Freeze condemns till this day. To him, such a practice only enriches so-called yahoo pastors who he claims are watching most of their congregation live in penury while they purchase private jets.
