Meet 18-year-old who watched Aguero score 1st City goal, 7 years later assisted Argentine 200th goal

- England U21 star Phil Foden has committed his future to Manchester City after signing new six year deal

- The 18-year-old assisted Aguero to net his 200th City goal in 2017 after watching the Argentine score his first goal for the club against Leicester City in 2011

Manchester City youngster Phil Foden recently penned a new long term deal with the Premier League champions which will expire in 2024.

The new contract will see the 18-year-old earn £30,000-a-week at the Etihad Stadium having gained the confidence of his manager Pep Guardiola.

Foden has made 13 appearances for the Citizens in all competition this campaign - and might be part of the team to battle Hoffenheim in their last Champions League group game later this evening.

However, the youngster took to social media to express his excitement after penning the new deal with the Etihad Stadium outfit.

Sport Bible reports that the Stockport-born midfielder has been a long term fan of the club since he was young.

He joined Man City in 2009 as a young star and got promoted to the senior team in 2017 but yet to score in the EPL.

The publication also reveals that the teenage sensation was just 11 years old when Sergio Aguero scored his first Man City goal.

But played a key role in the Argentine scoring his 200th goal for Pep Guardiola side in their victory over Leicester City last season.

He was handed a start in the absence of David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne and has made a total of 13 appearances this season, scoring his first goal for the club in the 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Oxford City.

Legit.ng earlier reported that England youngster Phil Foden signed new six-year deal at Manchester City valued at £30,000-a-week.

Daily Mail reports that the contract will see the 18-year-old remain at the Etihad until 2024, after graduating from the club’s academy.

The report further that Foden’s new salary is almost the double of his previous wage, which is also equal to the salary of a permanent member of the first-team squad.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
