Security has been beefed up in and around the National Assembly complex ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to present the 2019 Appropriation Bill.
The budget presentation is coming at a time the National Assembly is experiencing some level of chaos owing to the series of protest by the staff of the National Assembly under the umbrella body of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) over what they called poor working conditions.

However, the striking workers said they would not stop the president from presenting the 2019 budget to the lawmakers. They said the president is free to present the budget anytime.
