I want to run for the office of vice president - Musician Duncan Mighty tells Sowore

- In 2018 a number of entertainers have shown their interest in Nigerian politics

- Talented musician, Duncan Mighty, recently explained that he would like to be the vice president of the country

- He revealed his interest when expressing his admiration for presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore

The year 2019 is upon us and several Nigerians are looking forward to the presidential election to enable them vote in their preferred candidate. There has been a recent clamour for younger Nigerian leaders whom citizens feel would govern the country better.

One of such candidate is Omoyele Sowore running under the umbrella of African Action Congress (AAC). He has successfully gained the attention of some Nigerians including music star, Duncan Mighty.

The self-acclaimed Port Harcourt first son declared his interest in running as Sowore’s vice presidential candidate on social media.

In a series of videos posted on Instagram he revealed his admiration for Sowore as he explained that he needs a vice president that can encourage him to take the right steps among other things.

When the star's attention was called to the fact that Sowore already has a running mate, Dr. Rabiu Rufai, he decided to go to his online page which he discovered was not active enough for someone hoping to be the vice president of the nation.

Duncan explained that a vice president should not only be instrumental when the president is out of the country but that he should also be active in the daily running of the country.

The situation of things in Nigeria has made several people discover the hidden politician in them. Another music star, Banky W, recently revealed that he is running for a seat at the House of Representatives.

He announced his intention to serve as a federal legislator, representing Eti-Osa local government area of Lagos state in the coming 2019 election.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
