I have never seen any president who is honest like Buhari - Shehu Sani

- Senator Shehu Sani has commended President Muhammadu Buhari over his comment on how he manages Nigeria's economy

- The lawmaker said that the president has displayed high level of honesty over his comment

- He said he did not know any president in the history of the world who has displayed such honesty two month before general elections

The senator representing Kaduna central at the Senate, Shehu Sani, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for being honest in his analysis of the situation of the country.

Legit.ng reports that the lawmaker, who made this known in a tweet, on Saturday, December 15, said that the president has displayed high level of honesty for admitting that the economy he manages is in bad shape.

He said that he did not know any president in the history of the world who would be courageous to make such statement two months before the general elections.

"Prez Buhari admitting that the economy he manages is in bad shape is an act of honesty and courage to tell the truth. Many will lie for votes.I don’t know of any President in history or anywhere around the world who will make this kind of statement 2 months to general elections", he said.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna central in the upper house of legislature questioned why some supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari were displeased with ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo for criticising the current administration.

Sani in a tweet on Monday, December 10, said those angry with Obasanjo's criticism of Buhari were not displeased with the former president when he faulted other past leaders.

The senator suggested that Obasanjo could criticise anyone and that people should be ready for criticism from the president.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
