Chelsea suspend 4 fans after alleged racist abuse toward Man City's Raheem Sterling

- Chelsea have clamped down on four of their fans after allegedly been involved in the racial probe currently going on at the club

- The Blues supporters were said to have racially insulted Man City's Raheem Sterling during their 2-0 defeat at the Stamford bridge

- Police are also carrying out their investigations and will hand appropriate punishment to erring fans

Four Chelsea fans have been suspended by the club following the alleged racial abuse rained on Raheem Sterling last weekend.

The supporters who are yet to be identified are currently under investigations since they were indicted for raining abuses on the England international.

Sterling was said to have been insulted by some of the Blues fans in their 2-0 win over Manchester City at Bridge over the weekend.

With N'golo Kante and David Luiz scoring a goal each to end the Citizens unbeaten run in the Premier League this season.

The Mirror quoting Chelsea in a statement said that it was: "fully supporting" an ongoing police investigation.

"Our investigations into this matter are ongoing. We are fully supporting the police investigation and any information we gather will be passed on to them.

"Chelsea Football Club finds all forms of discriminatory behaviour abhorrent and if there is evidence of ticket holders taking part in any racist behaviour, the club will issue severe sanctions, including bans.

"We will also fully support any criminal prosecutions."

The publication further reports that Man City are cool with the Blues decision to act on the situation to avoid a repeat of such.

"Manchester City welcomes Chelsea’s decision to issue suspensions to the individuals who verbally abused Raheem Sterling," a Manchester City statement read.

"The club and Raheem are fully engaged with Chelsea and the investigating authorities as they continue to examine the events in question.

"Manchester City and Raheem are committed to working with all relevant parties and organisations to support the objective of eradicating racism from the game."

Pep Guardiola's men are now second on the table with one point behind Liverpool who rose to the summit of the log after City's defeat at Stamford Bridge.

The Citizens welcome Everton to the Etihad Stadium this weekend and will hope to return to winning ways at the end of the game.

The Blues ended Manchester City's unbeaten run after beating Pep Guardiola's side 2-0 at the Stamford Bridge.

According to Daily Mail, a man in blue was caught on camera calling Sterling a 'f****** black c***' while other Chelsea supporters in the Matthew Harding Stand also joined him in the abuse.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
