Chelsea star limps off with suspected injury in Europa League fixture

- Alvaro Morata limped of with a suspected injury in the Europa League

- The Spaniard was involved in Chelsea's 2-2 draw away to Vidi FC

- Mauricio Sarri is yet to give an update on the extent of damage to Morata

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata limped off during Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Vidi FC in the Europa League and the Spaniard is doubtful for their trip to Brighton this weekend.

This could give Maurizio Sarri something about to worry ahead of the Blues busy schedule all through the New Year.

Though Olivier Giroud has been a good back up for the Spain international but the Italian gaffer will be looking to maximize his large squad.

Both center-forwards were left on the bench when the west London club ended Manchester City's unbeaten streak in their last Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

Now that the Europa league engagement is temporarily on break, Chelsea will focus on the domestic scene to keep pace on the league leaders.

After their trip to Brighton on Sunday, the Blues will welcome Leicester City to London then pay a visit on Boxing Day with Watford at Vicarage Road.

The Blues will then begin their second round of matches in the Premier League with London neighbours Crystal palace before playing Southampton on January 2.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported Maurizio Sarri has declared Chelsea captain Gary Cahill surplus to requirement, stressing that it is left for the England ace to decide, if he will remain with the west London outfit beyond the winter transfer window in January.

According to an ESPN report, the 32-year-old Cahill was overlooked by Sarri for Friday night’s Europa League clash, and has only enjoyed 21 minutes of football in the EPL this term.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
