Chelsea ready to land highly rated England striker in January

- Blues boss Maurizio Sarri will have to cough out £30m to sign Callum Wilson next month

- The red-hot striker has scored eight Premier League goals and also assisted five others so far this season

- His current deal with the Cherries runs out in the summer of 2022 after joining them from Coventry City in 2014 for a fee around £3.33m

Chelsea have reportedly stepped up their plans to sign Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson when the January transfer window opens next month.

Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is not satisfied with his strikers and will be hoping to add depth to his front line when the January transfer window opens.

Talk Sports however reports the England international fits the bill of the player he wants as a replacement for under-firing Alvaro Morata.

Wilson has scored eight goals and created five assists for Eddie Howe's side in the Premier League this term.

He also netted in England's 3-0 win over the United States in last month's international friendly game against the United States of America.

However, the Stamford Bridge outfit have been told to prepare £30 million if they must secure the signature of the highly rated striker.

Both Morata and Olivier Giroud have not been impressive in front of goal, with the Frenchman scoring just once in the EPL this term.

Meanwhile, Cherries boss Eddie Howe is reluctant to discuss any such move for the player he brought in for £3m from Coventry City in 2014.

"Callum is focusing on his football and we are not anticipating losing any players in January we don’t want to," Howe said.

Legit.ng recalls that Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is eyeing a January transfer move for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.

The Blues boss is desperately looking to add depth to his side's attack in a bid to increase their chances of winning titles this season.

Sarri replaced Antonio Conte at the Stamford Bridge this summer after parting ways with Italian league side Napoli.
