Hiddink had a dramatic season in 2009 where he won 11 out of 13 matches and he took the Blues into the Champions League semifinals but were controversially knocked out by Barcelona as well winning FA Cup.

He however moved Chelsea from 16th position to 10th place when he took over from Mourinho three years ago, winning 11 matches in total.

3. Roberto Di Matteo

The Italian is arguably the most successful caretaker manager in Premier League history as he took over the helms for Andreas Villas-Boas in March 2012.

He also finished the Premier League season in 6th before he was sacked the same year in November but left unforgettable memories at Stamford Bridge.
