Manchester United have sacked Jose Mourinho barely three-years in charge at the Theatre of Dreams.

Mourinho's men have not been able to get maximum off top sides in the Premier League this season - playing draws with Chelsea and Arsenal.

And suffered losses to city rivals Manchester City, Tottenham and recently Liverpool.

The Mourinho and Paul Pogba saga is another point of reference as player and manager have been at logger-heads all through the season.

The French midfielder was dropped to the substitute bench by the Portuguese boss since Man United's 2-2 draw at Southampton, where he allegedly called Pogba a virus in the team.

Mourinho also had issues with United chief Ed Woodward for not signing a center-back to solve his defensive problems and refusing him to sell Anthony Martial after United's tour of the United States.

It is understood that 90 per cent of the entire squad and backroom staffs have lost faith in the charismatic manager who has impeccable record in management.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has insisted he has the full-backing of his players, claiming they were not dishonest with their efforts at Anfield.

United were condemned to their fifth defeat of the season following a 3-1 loss to their Premier League rivals.
