Breaking: EFCC allegedly storms Doyin Okupe's house

Former senior special assistant on public affairs to ex president Goodluck Jonathan, Dr Doyin Okupe has alleged that his house was stormed by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Okupe who raised the alarm on his Facebook page on Saturday, December 8, claimed the the operatives asked him to follow them without due process.

"EFCC just stormed my house in Ilupeju, Lagos, asking me to follow them. No letter. No letter of IV, No warrant," he wrote in the post on Facebook.

Recall that Legit.ng had reported that a chieftain of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Doyin Okupe, claimed that the nomination of President Muhammadu Buhari as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the presidential election in 2019, was not valid.

Okupe, who made this declaration in an interview in Lagos, also accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of working for the federal government.

"Actions and activities of INEC are being dictated directly from the villa. If that is not the case, by now if INEC Chairman was a truly independent person, he ought to have conveyed message to APC and the villa that they do not have a candidate for 2019 presidential election," he said.
