2019: Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi set to visit Aba

- As 2019 elections draw closer, Atiku Abubakar will be visiting Aba, Abia state, alongside his running mate Peter Obi

- Both politicians would be having an interactive session with various Atiku/Obi support groups in the commercial city of Aba

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be visiting Nigeria's commercial city, Aba, Abia state on Wednesday, December 19.

Vanguard reports that the presidential hopeful would be in Aba in the company of his running mate, Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra state.

The duo are expected to hold an interactive session with their various support groups in the commercial city of Aba.

The state's coordinator for the Atiku/Obi Presidential Campaign Organisation, Charles Ogbonnaya in a statement, said the interactive session will be open to all sundry.

Ogbonnaya also called on all the Atiku/Obi support groups, political action groups, civil society organisations and the general public to an interactive session with the candidates.

He also commended senators from the southeast for working hard to realise the southeast Development Commission (SEDC) which bill was passed recently.

"The commission if well funded would go a long way in solving some of the infrastructural deficiencies being suffered by the people of the southeast," Ogbonnaya said.

He also urged the senators not to relent but to fight further to ensure that the commission takes off and is well funded.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Jennifer Atiku, wife of Atiku, has urged residents of Onitsha to vote massively for the party in the 2019 general elections.

Jennifer, who hails from Onitsha, made the plea when she paid a courtesy visit to Igwe Alfred Achebe, the traditional ruler of Onitsha on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year.
