Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Vision: A Key To Outstanding Life

Paul EnencheDunamis’ Seeds of Destiny 20 April 2020 Devotional by Pastor Paul Enenche – Vision: A Key To Outstanding Life

Topic – Vision: A Key To Outstanding Life

Beloved, to be dreamless is to be doomed. Where there is no dream, the future will be doomed.

SCRIPTURE: And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. Genesis 37:5.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be dreamless is to be doomed. Where there is no dream, the future will be doomed.

Vision is the key to an outstanding life. It was vision that made Joseph stand out in his generation. He lived an outstanding life by the power of vision. In Genesis 37:5, Joseph dreamt a dream. And please, I will like you to note that Joseph did not just have a dream; he dreamt a dream. Don’t wait to have dreams; make up your mind to dream dreams.

In Genesis 37:7, the Bible also says that Joseph dreamt another dream. No wonder he could not be doomed. Beloved, to be dreamless is to be doomed. Where there is no dream, the future will be doomed. When I say dream, I am not referring to a dream of the night where you see a tiger pursuing you. God forbid! Rather, dream here refers to the vision you have on the wings of your imagination. It is the dream you have out of your decision of where you want to be tomorrow.

Now, one benefit of vision is that vision imparts discipline to life. And discipline facilitates distinction. There are things people of vision can do and there are things they cannot do; there is a place they can go and a place they cannot go. There are people who can be their friends and people who cannot be their friends. They live a disciplined life because of their vision. Nothing disciplines a life like vision.

Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he”. (KJV)

The Basic English Bible version renders the Scripture thus: “Where there is no vision, the people are uncontrolled; but he who keeps the law will be happy.” That is to say, where there is no vision people behave uncontrollably without order or discipline.

When you see a man who is uncontrolled, behaving like a drunkard, it is because he has no vision.

Remember this: To be dreamless is to be doomed. Where there is no dream, the future will be doomed.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Ask God to fill your heart with dreams for your destiny.
  2. Like Joseph, make up your mind to pursue your dreams in order to realise your destiny.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You fill my heart with dreams of my expected future. I receive the grace to be who and what You want me to be, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

The properties taken over include House No. 15, Addis Ababa Crescent, Wuse Zone 4, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and House No. 4, Bangui Street, Wuse 2, also in Abuja.  Reacting to the situation, Galadima said, “This is an attempt to disgrace and break me down. This is injustice and an attempt to humiliate me. "But I am unbreakable and they can never silence me. They sacked me and over 50 people that sleep in the apartment. "We don’t know where to go. We will remain on the streets. We will remain on the streets until God provi
